Security Consulting:
Charles T. Thibodeau and Associates is a one-stop location for
information, counseling, and technical assistance designed to help the
security manager start, operate, and grow their security programs. Mr.
Thibodeau provides on-site counseling along with training courses and
workshops if needed.
Systems Design Security Consulting:
Mr. Thibodeau gained his education and experience in security systems
design while working seven years for Control Data Corporate Security
(CDC), in Bloomington, Minnesota. As the Manager of Security
Administration and the Corporate Security Consultant he attended
numerous specialized schools on Physical Security, and managed up to
42 subordinates in his department.
In total, since Mr. Thibodeau started with Control Data in 1981, and
until his termination in 1988 due to a downsizing, Mr. Thibodeau
provided expert advice and crime prevention security assistance for
corporate security department managers throughout Minnesota, as well
as nation-wide and around the world. In 1988, Mr. Thibodeau opened
this private consulting business, a sole proprietorship, through which
he has continued to perform those same consulting functions for
Fortune 500 corporation’s and small businesses.
Mr. Thibodeau is experienced in providing: risk analysis, threat
evaluations, security surveys, vulnerability studies, probability and
criticality hypotheses, state and federal regulations compliance
management, preparation of policy and procedure manuals, and physical
security integrated seamless system designs. In this capacity, Mr.
Thibodeau was commissioned to write a template manual called
High-Risk, High-Rise Security for The Institute For Liability
Management, in Illinois . He wrote the fire evacuation plans for
Minnesota Life, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was also the consultant who
wrote the first draft for the Minnesota State Private Detective and
Protective Agent Services Board mandatory training rule. In that
capacity, he worked closely with the Executive Director of that State
agency.
