A Brush-Up From The Neck Up
SYLLABUS
CTTA400 & CTTA500
(A Six-Hour Seminar)
Course Description
This course teaches students how to transform proper grammar rules, punctuation rules, usage rules, vocabulary rules, and page construction, into clear, concise, accurate, and factual reports. This learning experience includes a review and evaluation of common errors in report writing. The student will start with examination and applications of proper word usage and proper sentence structure. The student will then examine and apply proper paragraph construction and finish with report writing exercises.
Target Audience
This course is intended for Private Detectives and Protective Agents as well as Police Officers and anyone interested in a short concentrated course on writing skills.
Course Focus
The focus of this course is on resurrecting and reviewing basic guidelines for writing that were learned, but lost and forgotten over time. This course will review the basics of writing proficiency and provide the student with many useful tools to take back to work and use immediately.
It is a brush-up from the neck up because writing skills are stored in the brain but often times fail to be recalled when needed during report writing. We hope that this learning experience will enlighten and encourage the practitioner to place greater emphasis on his or her writing skills.
